Fact Duel — Daily Fact Comparison Game
About Fact Duel
Fact Duel is a daily comparison game. Two facts are displayed side by side. One value is shown, the other is hidden. You must decide which fact has the larger number. There are 10 rounds per day, and each correct answer earns one point.
How to Play
Read the known value on the left card. Estimate whether the hidden value on the right card is larger or smaller. Tap the card you think has the larger value. After you choose, both values are revealed with their units, data year, and source links.
Scoring
Each correct answer gives you one point. The maximum score is 10. Your streak counts consecutive days you score at least 6 out of 10.
Data Sources and Validation
All facts are drawn from official sources including the World Bank, the United Nations, national statistics agencies, and recognised sporting bodies. The year of each data point is displayed during the round, and a source link is provided after each answer. Every fact is validated before entering a round — records with missing or invalid values are excluded.
Strategy Tips
- Think about orders of magnitude — a city population is usually in millions, a mountain height in thousands of metres.
- When unsure, consider the category and typical ranges for that type of data.
- Practice mode helps you learn the data ranges before tackling the daily challenge.
Accessibility
Fact Duel uses ARIA live regions to announce round information and results to screen readers. Source links have descriptive accessible names. All interactive elements meet the 44px minimum target height on mobile.
